Iodine Valentis 5% cutaneous solution
Iodine Valentis is used as remedy to treat skin diseases that are induced by bacteria, viruses and fungi, for example common acne, fungus, cold sores and fever blisters (herpes simplex) and shingles (herpes zoster).
It is also used as an antiseptic aid (to prevent infection in the operation site and margins of wound).

Cutaneous use. Test on the small skin area if you are not hypersensitive to iodine.
Several times a day or before the operation moisten the cotton-wool tampon with the preparation and cleanse the skin that is near the wound or affected skin area.
Do not use Iodine Valentis:
if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to iodine or any ingredient of this medicinal preparation;
on the open wound, weeping eczema and on the mucous membrane;
for disinfection of body cavities (mouth, bladder, etc.).
Take special care with Iodine Valentis:
if you suffer from thyroid gland diseases. Those who suffer from thyroid diseases should be careful using iodine preparations.
the place of usage may be covered with air-conductive material, for example, with gauze bandage, because the preparation can stain clothes. Do not use under occlusive dressing.
the preparation oxidises metals (induces metallic corrosion of instruments), therefore disinfection of them with this preparation is not advisable.
